On our drive to Arthur’s Pass National Park, we stopped at a beautiful lake for a lunch break. Snapped a couple photos, then back on the road. The drive was similar to a mountainous desert. Very different, but beautiful all the same. As we were driving, we found ‘Castle Hill’. It was so gorgeous here. The hill was named because of the imposing array of limestone boulders in the area resembling an old, run-down stone castle. It was such a large area, that you could get lost amongst the boulders. Even with dozens of tourists around, you didn’t hear them. It was so peaceful and serene here.
